CIA says Russia influenced US election to help Trump win

pppffft she was obviously a woman, I've seen it myself.

 

What I mean is that if it is an attempt to slander him him it is effective because even if it is exposed as false (and it is hard to prove a negative anyway), it has already highlighted his character - what people already know about his character (but have suspended belief on).

It also highlights a character who has a past that is likely to have enough demons that could be a liability and be open to blackmail.

And this is only if it isn't true.
