    The first part of the gameplay update is live! Today we're doing Forglar Swamp alongside another client update. More to follow in the upcoming days.

    Lobby:
    • Re-added the Drums of War display in the lobby. This will be cycled to automatically if you wait or you can click the third pip under the display that initially shows Quests
    • Fixed Custom Game creation to show the full map name when selecting the map


    In-Game Messages and Localization:
    • When the client connects, it will now download the rules text from the game api in order to make sure rules text and descriptions are up to date


    Art & Effects:
    • Fixed an issue that could cause units to have visual artifacts (black lines usually) around them
    • Changed the visual effect for Spell Resistance to use the new effect that was added for the Shattered Peaks shrine bonus (for performance reasons)
    New abilities - not all of them will be added to champions right away, but they will show up in database:

    • Heartbreaker - This champion does double damage to Charmed champions.The condition is then removed. Nora Cost: 5
    • Hunter: Charmed - When this unit would deal damage to a Charmed champion, that damage is increased by 2. When this unit would receive damage from a Charmed champion, that damage is decreased by 2. Nora Cost: 3
    • Murkwater Solemnity - This unit has Amphibious. While this unit is within 5 spaces of a friendly champion with Race: Snaptooth, it gains Soultap. Nora Cost: 4
    • Grant: Entangle - Target champion within 5 spaces gains Entangle (This unit makes a Physical attack at RNG 2-5 against target champion. If successful, that unit becomes Grounded for 2 turns, Ensnared for 2 turns.) for 2 turns. Nora Cost: 6
    • Pacifying Blows - When this champion successfully attacks a champion with a basic attack, the target is Pacified for 1 turn. Nora Cost: 5
    • Grant: Soulsift - Target champion within 5 spaces gains Soulsift 1 (When this unit is destroyed, you gain nora equal to 20% of this units nora cost.) for 2 turns. Nora Cost: 8
    • Grant: X Exploit - Target champion within 5 spaces gains X Exploit for 2 turns. (each faction gets its own Grant Exploit, just writing it this way to save space) Nora Cost: 5
    • Grant: Poison Charge - Target champion within 5 spaces gains Poison Charge (Until end of turn, all Poison damage is increased by 2. This unit loses 5 HP.) for 2 turns. Nora Cost: 5
    • Grant: Poison Cloud - Target champion within 5 spaces gains Poison Cloud 2 (Area Effect 2, Range 3: Affected space become Poison Cloud for 2 turns.) for 2 turns. Nora Cost: 6
    • Obsidian Flight - This unit has Flying and Bleed. Nora Cost: 6
    • Scolding Blows - When this champion successfully attacks a champion with a basic attack, the target is Scolded for 2 turns. Nora Cost: 8
    • Spellsurge: Burnout, Elemental Vortex, Festering Wounds, Suppress - When this champion is deployed, X spells are revealed from your runedock. X spells costs 10 nora less (this does not stack) and this champion is healed for 8 HP when a friendly X spell is played. Nora Cost: 4
    • Surge: Boghopper - This unit has +1 DMG for every friendly champion with Race: Boghopper. Nora Cost: 5
    • Allaying Aria - This champion makes a sonic attack at +2 damage against target enemy champion within 4 spaces. If successfully damaged, target becomes Pacified for 2 turns. Nora Cost: 8
    • Command: Stab - Friendly champions within 3 spaces gain Stab for 3 turns. Nora Cost: 4
    • Bloodlust - this champion deals 50% additional damage to Bloodied champions on basic attacks. Nora Cost: 8
    • Gift: Smuggle - The next champion you deploy from the runedock while this champion is in play gains Shadow Shift and Stealth. Nora Cost: 8
    • Equip: Firebeard Brew- Unit is equipped with a Firebeard Brew(Equipped Champion is intoxicated. If the equipped champion is a dwarf it heals 3 hp per turn and gains burn rank 1. If not, it takes 3 fire damage per turn and is inhibited.) Nora Cost: 12


    Ability adjustments:

    • Barbarian Rider - nora cost from 40 to 15
    • Gronk Rider - nora cost from 30 to 10
    • Skeezick Rider - nora cost from 35 to 20
    • Skeletal Rider - nora cost from 30 to 15
    • Homing Sense - nora cost from 0 to 8 (as it's fixed now)
    • Voices in their Head - cast range from 2 to 4 tiles
    • Swamp Teachings - nora cost from 35 to 10
    • Mastermind - now triggers at 35 nora instead of 10.

    FORGLAR SWAMP

    • Almsgiver:
      • Base stats changed to 10 dmg, 6 spd, range 1-3, def 0, HP 46.
      • Base abilities changed to Attack: Psychic, Amphibious, Cleansing Aura.
      • Upgrade Path 1 set to: Heal Champ rank 3, Invigorate rank 2, Hydrate.
      • Upgrade Path 2 set to: Swap rank 3, Ritual of Healing, Dispel.
      • Nora modifier set to -3. Projected range: 71- 78.
    • Angel of Nourishment:
      • Replaced Empathy in Upgrade Line 1 with Transfer Life rank 1.
      • Replaced Nora Shield rank 1 in Upgrade Line 2 with Nora Shield Rank 2.
      • Added Dispelling Blows to Upgrade Path 2.
      • Nora Modifier set to -21. Projected range: 82-90.

      • REWORKED: Equipped Champion gains Turtle, Scale Armor, and Ponderous. Nora Cost: 25

    HOTFIX #1:

    • Fixed a data issue that caused Bok Guardian, Boneguard Infantry, Charger Knight, Decayed Mercenary, Draksar Footman, Dwarven Axe Guard, Moga Lord's Guard / Dirge's Day Marcher, Savage Shieldman, Vashal Cavalier, Vashal Quillback, and Vengeant Templar to incorrectly gain Dodge on one of their Upgrade Paths
    • Fixed an issue where Snaptooth Vermillion did not have matching stats and base abilities as Snaptooth Ancient
    • Fixed the internal logic of Darkmarsh Warsong's targeting
    • Fixed Psionic Storm not giving confused
    • Fixed Blessing of the River not doing its new effect
    • Fixed an issue where the following spells had incorrect cooldowns:
      • Backfire
      • Blessing of the River
      • Corrode
      • Darkmarsh Warsong
      • Erode
      • Font Eruption
      • Psionic Storm
      • Sea Song
      • Undertow

    HOTFIX #2:

    • Chilling Scale is now appropriately only Faction: Forglar Swamp
    • Finlord's Neophyte is now 73 nora (69-75)
    • Fixed Mastermind not triggering at 35 nora
    • The icon for Murkwater Solemnity will now appear the same as Murkwater Frenzy (temporarily) to help alleviate confusion
    • The Relic Nora Well has been changed to have the effect "While this relic is in play, all Nora globes give twice the amount of Nora upon capture."

    • Jellibrium Mind has been changed to require 5/10/15 runes on cooldown from 4/8/12 to get ranks of teleport and heal
    • Psychic Anguish has been changed to trigger on champions within AoE 5 of the champion that has the ability instead of being global
    • Mystic Whirlpool had its range increased to 4 and HP changed to 25.
    • Rejuvenation Fountain has been reworked to do the following: Friendly creatures in 5 spaces have regeneration rank 2 and purified. Nora cost: 30
    • Snaptooth Crypt has been changed to do the following: Friendly champions with race Snaptooth within 5 spaces of this unit gain Essence Capture and Hunter: Soultap. Relocate: Self added to relic. Nora cost: 30
    • Firk Mask has been reworked to do the following: Equipped champion gains race: Firk and Paralytic Feedback. If the champion has range 3 or more it gains Paralytic Strike. Nora Cost: 30
    • Emergency Kit has been reworked to do the following: Equipped champion gains Melee Specialist 2, Detection 3, and +1 SPD. Nora cost: 35
    • Fixed Huntmaster's Charm stacking on Hippos.
