Defending the weekend tourneys

The weekend tourneys have been under fire for several months due to the fact that they are "affecting the game economy" by allowing any player to get as many rewards as they want. In my opinion the tourneys are great for business. Making the older runes easier to get and flooding the market makes the newer runes invaluable considering no one will trade their new runes for older runes that can be easily obtained forcing players that want these new runes to buy them. Another thing to take into consideration is the amount of players that come back every weekend for the tourneys alone. Numbers gets numbers. Considering how over saturated the ad market is with hundreds of ads with blonde bimbos with massive juggs advertising strategy games, the amount of people that go for the weaker ads are less and less everytime but word of mouth always works. I feel the salty people that complain about the tourneys are more bothered by the fact that people are easily getting what they paid for to collect through out the years and less by the "economy".

So yeah in the beginning we made a couple people wait but not everyone and not every time and not for the ridiculous reason of not wanting to farm, we did it simply because they were being jerks and we could. I didnt screen any of frits' conversations cause i aint no tijuana rat but he was being a major cumrag to us just because we wanted free runes. This practice however hasnt been done in many many months, at least not my anybody in my crew.

 

So grow up or get a hobby but stop stepping on my tail por faveeur

Seeing people like willow abuse the system meant to help is just sad and very offputting when it comes to spending actualy money in a game.
The fact that developers do nothing about it and a voice of reason like dmr is so poorly heard is even sadder.

 

OP is right. tourney deflates the value of old runes, making the value of new runes higher, therefore they get more real $$$, otherwise people would just buy old runes from store and that's $$$ going to third party instead of DOG.

The only reason most vets are against the tourney is to protect the value of their collection, they could not careless about the game or the 'economy'. It's like a socialist asking for free money from the government to 'keep the demand up', they will just say whatever will benefit them.

Why else would they spend so much energy posting about it? Does it bother them that other people have runes? It's not enough that they have runes, other people must have nothing. It's sad to see so much jealousy and greed in the world. smh fam.

 

Actualy i "dislike" dmr.I often disagree with his opinion and he spoke out against several themes i enjoy playing that got nerfed.But i do respect his opinion and he is reasonable and helpful.

I feel the same way about people who abuse tourney for runes.Why else would they spend so much energy posting about it?You can even see how desperate they are because they resorted to nothing but insults about salt and genitalia.I am struggling to collect two legendaries so i can play worms better,but seeing people abuse the crap out of system and get bunch of runes just makes me feel bad about my small collection.I even thought about dropping some money,but whats the point if you can just abuse the system?
If i had more energy and time i would probably do it myself,but its unhealthy for the company and for the playbase(atleast towards the people who dont bother with abusing the system).

 

Not too sure, but did any Greens post their opinion on this?
