I was hoping for PoxNora in space. I want a sci-fi version of pox with really good isometric graphics.

 

Where is DoG mentioned in the development of this game? All I see is ToHeroes Studios...

 

I wonder how much this endeavor is costing Robert Simyar.

 

I really don't understand why lots of devs keep releasing games in original space settings - everyone knows what historical/modern/fantasy units can do, but aliens/spaceships are unpredictable and make you to learn stuff you won't ever need.
I'll try it anyway though, cause I haven't ever seen strategy mmos which weren't autobattle-crap or homm clones with army limit, but the setting would make quite a difference if the game turns out to be questionable.

 

I really hope you get to name your ship with guild tags being the equivalent of HMS or USS. The NWO Inquisitor will be feared across the galaxy.

 

I was playing homm 5 today. Sweet nostalgia.

 

And the NWO Pie in the Sky will be ridiculed across the galaxy.

The forums are live now (You can post on them... And farm likes... But there is no one to like). They have some cool concept art on there and the backgrounds for the factions.

 

The Spacewars Kickstarter launched today. I think anyone interested should sign up for one of the levels that allows naming, and if @Senshu can get the okay, we use names from Pox.

I am planning on buying a planet or region. Was toying with naming it Isran or using some other obscure Inquisition name.

Though I am kinda concerned about Faction imbalance. I wanna play a bug, but I don't wanna get squished by everyone ganging up on the lone bug. >.<

Unfortunately, it seems that only the first two races will be playable from the start. Bugs are apparently really hard to design.

Based on a forum post, a million dollars. This is encouraging for me because it means it's a true passion project, and will probably be great.

 

The trouble I have with the Kickstarter is that that the higher levels don't build upon the first ones. I feel that may be why it hasn't taken off as fast as I would have expected.
