Well, for a start, the food for Dipterus is also long extinct. You'd have to bring back a good chunk of its ecosystem for it to even stand a chance

 

of course like how humans never decided to suck on cow nipples or eat the seeds of grasses this species will be 100% guaranteed not to be ever able to find an alternative food source.

 

Humans had the benefit of not being ~370 million years removed from these alternate food sources

 

that does not mean it won't find a food source.
