Greetings Everyone, It's that time between expansions where it is quiet, almost too quiet. Well that silence ends now! You can start getting excited because this is the first preview for Pox Nora's 28th expansion. This preview is more than just showing you the art we are actually going to show you what the runes will do, and give you the community a chance to contribute with an all new contest! Flavor Text Contest For this Flavor Text contest, players who want to participate can submit as many Flavor Text for the two runes as they want. Flavor Text submitted to this contest can not exceed 250 characters (including spaces) and can not conflict with any current Pox Nora Lore. We are providing the names of the runes featured in the illustration, a description of the illustration, and the description of what the runes do. Players have until March 2nd 10AM PST (1PM EST, 6 PM UTC) to post their flavor text in the submission thread at which point the thread will be locked. Make sure to state which rune the flavor text submission is for in your post. One submission for each rune featured will be chosen by us as the winner and the results will be announced March 4th. Illustration Description A merchant caravan of Skeezick and Draksar seek shelter behind a large rock formation in the desert. The wind is thick with sand and it is still hitting the people. Sitting behind them just out of reach of the winds is a bulky barbarian, stroking a small cute looking kitten which he holds to his chest. Eroding Winds Spell Faction: Ironfist Stronghold Description: For 4 turns, at the start of the opponent's turn, enemy units in a shrine or font deployment zone are Eviscerated for 4 turns. If the unit is a champion, it is also knocked back 2 spaces away from your shrine or avatar. Wounded Kitten Equipment Faction: Shattered Peaks Description: After 6 turns, this equipment is destroyed, the equipped champ takes 10 Physical damage and becomes Eviscerated for 3 turns and a Young Mountain Lion is summoned to the closest available space under the control of this equipment's owner. Both Wounded Kitten and Eroding Winds are still subject to change. Shard Reward Event On February 24th a new event began. Players have until 4PM PST March 9th to earn 1000 shards. The shards are earned in 200 at a time for every 10 Ranked matches played or every 10 Single Player match wins. Matches must last a minimum of 10 minutes to count towards this event. The maximum total shards that can be earned during this event is 1000. Rewards will be given out at the conclusion of this event. For full details see the Official Announcement. Weekend Tournament This weekend's tournament is now available. It is a standard 4 person tournament, using Ranked Maps, with a total turn time limit per player per match of 30 minutes. This tournament will be available from February 19th through February 21st.
