I have a lot of good memories of this game and used to be pretty good once upon a time. Curious how it has changed over the years for any veterans still around.
Sup Burn. Had a couple crazy years since 2012. Got married, went insane for abit, became wealthy in an unusual way. Was just thinking about Pox and the old Merc crew tonight. I see Sok is still Dev. Good for him. What's up with you? What kind of big updates has Pox done in the last couple years?
I hope everything is alright then. Haven't really played Pox in years. I pick it up about once a year for a bit and quit again. I'd say the infrastructure and everything around the game got a lot better. Client, trading etc. Others are probably in a better position to tell you about it. Game itself? Well.. Pox is Pox in the end. Love it and hate it.
Loads of old dogs coming out to play ATM. Calisk, Tiny, TheRed, TheRavager, Princeleafe, Rams28, PoxJunkE, Taylor, DMR, to name a few.
Tiny, Ravager, Taylor and Dmr have been pretty active over the last couple of years. You try too hard to be funny.
Pox balance is probably the best its ever been. Big things on the way, PS4 launch (hopefully bringing lots of new players), and the next expansion is entirely player made. As is, game is kinda in hibernation mode waiting for those things to happen.
New client is being made too, pox is leaving Java for another engine (cant remwmeber the name), new one comes with widescreen support and other cool stuff.
very few players now, its very boring alot of alts in ranked, which is even more boring some hope for a new client and more players when poxnora enters PS market also .-)
Game seems the most balanced and free to play friendly that I ever remember it being, and I've been off and on since the SP expansion. @Sokolov has done a pretty amazing job simplifying some of the old unecessarily confusing aspects of the game imo.
@Ryvirath, hi there Doing good work over at Duelyst! ~ Development/Business Side Changes DOG re-acquired all rights from SOE for PoxNora SOE was shuttering its entire strategy games division (and promoting its head to "Director of E-Commerce and Monetization) and PoxNora would have been shut down in the process if DOG hadn't picked it up Rune Forge allowing players to create any rune aside from the current expansion Reward system for playing ranked that grants current expansion runes (which would otherwise only be available for $$$) Expanded Gold system to include all content that isn't the current expansion, including Avatars Cosmetic upgrades to a number of older maps Daily Achievements providing short-term goals Heroic Achievements providing mid-term goals Currently in development is a brand new Unity client Game will launch on PS4/Vita sometime this year (no official release date has been announced) Design Changes Initial DOG revamp re-aligned champions to the cost formula, and reduced the number of abilities on champions Re-focused on tactical and positional elements via various large level changes Increase of CD on alternate attacks Increase cost on many staple "kill" spells Increase focus on development of non-champion runes that are playable without an immediate kill/damage effect Reduction/Softening of "hard" counters and other card game type mechanics Reduction in High SPD early font pushers Continued development/adjustment of themes Salaman racial/rework development of class based themes such as monk and ranger introduction of new split runes (UD/KF Naria, IS/SL Valdaci) Re-balanced numerous maps
