On total ideas, present or not, the mmorpg genre isn’t something Poxnora is stepping into inherently. Servers are naturally going to increase in size but ultimately a bot game would be plenty to cover the depth of possible mechanics. Tacking on genres is what is going to make OvtopiV job that much harder when they have races (further fleshed out than Paragon) and plenty of perspective “modes” to adapt to each race. I use Paragon cause that was the first&last game I’ve seen create unique perspectives for Hero-ability kits, with gameplay that is both PvE and PvP. Holding to the 50+ races available to play...classes, dmg types, environment, scale, etc...think Meta-verse
footage being the UE4 stuff on insta? As far as any game titles are concerned there hasn’t been anything announced since Plox Neon...those days are far behind us if @Daggan and OctopiV are actually looking for the funding they’ve speculated at. it’d be ridiculous for non-canonic titles be released under OctopiV as a studio (unless they intend to outsource and then expand game mechanics as a studio) I’m trying to fill in the holes like anyone else, I’m just coming from the perspective that the IP is successful and past attempts at game-loops(pitiful cash grabs) have failed tremendously; with the narrative that they still need money after the decade plus of Poxnora being their creation regardless of who is producing the content at the time. Think League of Legends: *insert new genre/game loop here* TL;DR OctopiV is Poxnora short of them opening the IP to other studios.
Keeping my eyes open for job listings as well, can’t wait to work on some new titles/genres. So far we know there will be a wave system to fight hordes of enemies, this being for UE4/5, and both ARK/Dark&Light mechanics would play well in PoxNora; available on the marketplace for modding.
Finally have a bit of an update! Sorry for the delays, but as you can understand we really didn't want to share anything that was not completely solidified. We have finalized some plans and are excited to announce that we are currently working on a prototype for PoxNora Onslaught: A real-time tactical strategy game where you can play collaboratively with up to 5 friends to dominate the world of PoxNora. The original PoxNora is not going anywhere and we are committed to re-launching the original game as soon as we obtain funding and/or revenue. Our goal is to relaunch with a new client, utilizing the 3-D champions and maps we are building for Onslaught. Now that we have some clarity on our plans moving forward, I will make a point to post here as well as our @Octopiv4 instagram account. Also: The Art of PoxNora Vol 2 is almost ready and should go live on October 15th: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/octopigames/the-art-of-poxnora-volume-2/edit/preview

Will the new client also be java or using a different language? Does that mean you be re writing all the code from scratch or using the current code written as your base
The new game is being created in the Unreal Engine. The OG Pox relaunch - not sure yet. Most likely we will be starting over from scratch in Unreal as well. If you follow our @octopiv4 account on Instagram we have been posting concept art, finished rendered models, etc. Here are a few: https://www.instagram.com/p/CDouqETjXFo/ https://www.instagram.com/p/CCJ0M1ljeJv/ https://www.instagram.com/p/CAq1Zxhjs3C/ https://www.instagram.com/p/B-z8LBsjvrT/ https://www.instagram.com/p/B-iB5yFj1FE/ https://www.instagram.com/p/B9rqmxZD2X1/ https://www.instagram.com/p/CGJRrauD7Dq/
Let's see it! But, I can't make a suggestion for it since we don't know the gameplay yet. And note that in Onslaught(Pox 2), there's gonna be 5 players in 1 game. So we don't know what their plan on the game play yet.
I'm hoping it's something akin to what we have now, just a 5 player arena. Not sure just how niche that market is, but a 5 player turn-based arena Pox-lite would be amazing. Especially if it's something that could port to mobile
They shouold definitely have an eye on mobile market, its a money mine albeit one ridden with annoying micro transactions and pay to win bs.
I don't know how would Poxnora do in mobile.. Maybe 15 cards maximum in 1 deck? Haha. 6 champs, 4 spells, 2 relics, 2 equips.
There's a dozen ways it could be done. Wouldn't necessarily need to be 'deck' based, either. Could do team fight, battle arena, etc. Just has to be in the same Universe
