Wait until after the patch. They are supposed to be buffed. On a side note, the way I play garu is through power turns with kodiak. I keep my opponent in bad positioning with 2 reclaims and mindwipe aura from the diplos. This is probably the only bg i use that I have 2 reclaims in. You have to play very carefully with them because they have bad range and almost no range def. Timeslips and protections will be necessary.
Hopefully the range situation will be somewhat adressed with Hurlers being buffed. But as for alternative range it's still going to be Menalaus/Grimthir and Elven Mages.
From the sounds of it, I am not even going to bother wasting my time on garu then. They are the theme I have the least interest in anyway. I just wanted a well rounded view of KF but it sounds like they are far from viable on their own without great skill and great skill can make anything viable. Thank you guys for the information!
