I discriminate against broccoli by not buying or eating it. But I don't try to ban other people from eating it. since my job includes selling broccoli, I even sell broccoli to my customers, even though i hate it and think it is pretty disgusting.
If talking about actual polluted water though it's really filtering, though this can depend on the type of pollution and the use involved with the water. #RandomThoughts

Tell that to the EPA. If there is less than 10 parts per billion of arsenic in your water, it is considered safe. That means if you have a gallon of water with some arsenic in it, you only need to dilute it with arsenic free water until you reach 10 parts per billion. For those that can't tell, my original post was just word play, and this post is just a smart-assed retort.
