My Voil!

    Hello i'm kind of new to the peaks but I've thrown together a voil BG and my first impressions are awesome. I love it! Their racial is awesome and the rank of evasion really suits my playstyle, but I can tell I definitely have some tweaks to make. I'll list the runes i'm running now, along with what I am considering replacing them with. Any tips or suggestions would be great!

    Champions-

    Lance Admiral Sceian- Like this guy a lot, running the lowest rank of barrage and highest rank of warcry.
    2x Voil Bomber- Only one of these is ranked up, but i deck him out with preparattion and the highest rank of stone bomb. (since it doesn't spend the preparation buff it's awesome fun)
    2x Voil Conqueror- running lowest rank of power attack and highest rank of melee specialist. These guys are awesome, but not quite my favorite.
    1x Voil Dive Bomber- Definitely my favorite bat. Going to run charge three and berserk attack one when he gets more cp. I would like to get a second one of these.
    1x Voil Frenzy- Hate him. Never play him, planning to replace him with a second dive bomber. Thoughts?
    2x Voil Guard- These guys rock, I love seeing someone try to AoE my bats just to see it mostly innefective. ;)
    1x Voil Imperialist- Boost voil is the only reason I have him, and prestige is nice too. Likely will replace him with some ranged voil for some real support.
    Voil Lancer- Expensive, but Ideally I would draw him as first pick for his speed and dodge, it seems to be common to start with a ranged unit so his awesome dodge and arrow throw is cool. Would easily consider replacing, though.
    Voil Transporter- This guy is just so damn handy I would easily consider running another. Thoughts?
    Voil Lifestealer and Voil ScreecherX2, don't like these guys at all. Will replace.

    Spells
    1x Avalanche and 1x Lightning Storm- my two AoE damage spells, i thought i'd run one of each to mix up the damage types.
    1xElectrostatificatombomb- Expensive, but when it works it works. :) I like it, but could replace.
    1xHavoc's Touch- Figured putting this on a conqueror would be pretty cool, I never know when to use it though.
    1x Pilfered Armory- Cheap, fun, effective, and well fizzle out an opponents backfire. Not super effective as anti-equip, though.
    1xVertical Push- Super fun, high damage, works as dispel, makes em scream, and can help me win fonts. (I actually had a guy rage quit earlier, he was coming at me with an all buffed up Fist of Bastion with platemail and majestic and I VUed him.)
    1xWings of Steel- Situational, but I like having it just in case. Could replace.
    1x Whispers of the Mind- Haven't used this much yet, but I already love it.

    Relics
    1xHeadshrinkers totem.-Drop it by a ranged when I engage and it helps me f*** s*** up. :)
    1x Mangled Totem- Helps with engage. Oh! You got divebombed? Well here's another 20 damage from all that AP you've been saving. Not sure if it's as effective as i've convinced myself it is, though. Possibly replaceable.
    1xThunderhead Totem- Didn't this used to be paralyze 2, not 1? I still run it, but can replace. Another headshrinker might not be a bad idea.
    1x Rock Trap- Love it.
    1x Tribal Post-Gotta have my banner. :)

    Equipment
    1xEarthshaker's bracelet- Not always effective, but when they're only running physical it can be a godsend. Could replace. Tempest crown might be nice, too, give my conquerors or a divebomber more sustain.
    1x Slaver's Whip- Spot drive and possess? Yes please.



    So this is my deck! I just made it today and am liking it, but i need to fix some things too. I particularly dislike 2 screechers, frenzy, and lifestealer. Considering replacing them with 2 skyhowlers, another dive bomber, and a voil sorceror. I feel this would leave me with too little ranged still, though. I would also like to include a Voil Courier, and possibly a Voil Nighthawk, too, for some stealth and anti-equip. Firebombers are great, maybe I should replace a bomber with one? Voil Infernals used to be the Bane Shift...but they don't look that great now...or am I missing something? Worth running one just for the dark healing? Any tips or suggestions or even comments would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for taking the time to read this.


    P.S- I'm also working on building a Moga deck so anything in the spells/equip/relic field advice I can use with it as well.

    I would add a voil queen for the regal presence, and my range would be definitively voil sorcerers followed by screechers and skyhowlers.
    About melee, I find that guards, stormflyers, frenzy and skytrash look really good, I wouldn't choose conquerors or lifestealers over them.
    The guards may have a very nice synergy with the blood frenzy voils, you can drop them to half their hp and then pair them with a guard to protect them, a skyhowler, with boost, regal presence and blood frenzy triggered is crazy in paper.
    About your support, I would try to find a place for alacrity and vicious harpoon, you are lacking that kind of things

    Also you can splash safely the other heros, klub mostly, to deal with colossal, other options for splash would be ghern general (battlemaster and flagbearer to help your phalanx), ghern taskmaster (drive and declare target), and maybe something with healing.

    D: but I love my conquerors...I'll have to look at those you suggested, though. Conquerors easily get over 20 damage and with leech vitality can be quite strong with a guard when I go aggressive. I wish they were 7 speed though. The lifestealers and frenzies are definitely going. I will try a second divebomber for sure, and perhaps a stormflier.

    At Dirge and Klub's current cost, you're better off throwing them in there too even if they're out of theme (will probably change after the next update). I like your addition of Mangled Totem, I thought the same as you, especially considering how I liked to rush in. However, in my experience I found it way too situational to actually be useful and tossed it out in favour of another cheap beater. Using Slaver's Whip and/or Harpoon are all subject to how you like to play, and mileage will vary from user to user, so if you're putting them to good use in your matches, then great. There's nothing more satisfying that a Whip equip then a possess-chasm-kill combo.

    Regarding the spells, I think WotM is the best spell SP has got and one of the best spells in the game, and would run 2 of those no question (beware of unstoppable). Thunderhead totem is overrated if you're not using it in synergy with something like paralytic strike imo, but as I said, all up to taste.

    EDIT: Regarding Tempest Crown, it's a great addition to any melee heavy BG which it looks like you're edging towards. The surprise life siphon is great, but the psychic magnetism has a bigger effect than one would think on range-heavy opposition, I would support you running that.

    Okay, as far as spells and equip I'll ditch the thunderhead totem and add a vicious harpoon. I'll play around with the mangled totem a bit more, but i'll probably toss that out for another unit like you did. After all, a stormflyer's chain lightning will likely deal about as much as a totem would, and that will leave me with a beater. I have Dirge, so I may throw him in. :) He's not breaking the theme -too- much, well, yeah he is. Leader of the 'free' moga and all...shh.

    Screechers are 2x include in Voil decks right now. They offer great range and versatile ability set for a fantastic cost. I also run 2 sorcerers because range and magic bomb.... magic bomb is great for power turns, especially on a champ with increase-able damage. Queens are super good right now, too. I would drop one bomber.... only real reason to run them alongside the range units I mentioned is for shatter, and if you want something for shatter yoiu should consider diamond mace anyway. Harpoon is great, and voil kings crypt is fantastic, especially with other bat swarms out. Use it on sceian power turns for free meat.

    Alacrity goes in every SP BG. Take out earthshakers bracelett..... too easy to counter and too situational. You are better off running harpoon
