Playing pox makes me Firking furious now

The auto pan, half the Firking single player campaigns don't work, champion movement is bugged the Firk out, and on top of that there is the actual intended changes - the ones where everything is geared towards a tiny ps4 community that I can almost promise will not stick around. I Firking loved this game for OVER HALF MY LIFE but jesus Firking christ its a mess now and no one from sony or octopi or desert owl or whoever the Firk owns this Bane Shift show now will update a motherFirking god damned thing. I was a christian last week. This is what you did to me.

Rejoice! At least you can play the game. I can't even get past the login screen. And I guess it's going to be like that for a while.

I don't want a clone I want the Pox I spent so much money and time on to go back to being playable again. Also I've been burned by too many good looking unreleased games to get excited about another one.

 

me too man. I tried playing Pox last night and I was super disappointed. The old client wasn't much to look at but it was "good enough." This new client is objectively bad.

Wow, why have you been silent about it here for so long?
Do you already have serverside tested to make it public any moment, or it's just local so far?
Do you plan to keep ability count per champ as low as in the video, or it may be higher?

 

@Sokolov The stat symbol icons for stuff like Speed, Defense, etc. in this game are exactly the same as Pox. Do those belong to DoG?

 

Yes, it's all pretty much ready to go except for content. I have a lot of cards to add. The champ count seen in the video is just the result of me playing some rudimentary AI. I expect players and more advanced AI would be able to get more champs out.

I am aware that the stat symbols are quite similar indeed, but they are the original creations of an artist I hired. I'm afraid he may have been a bit literal in his interpretation, but the concepts of swords, shields, pluses, feet, etc have been used in video games for decades.

 

Yeah. I actually am a lawyer, not that it matters any more. I just make indie games now. Anyway, I don't want to step on anybody's toes; if you guys have a serious problem with these icons then I can modify them a bit.

 

I suspect they have more of an issue with you being here trying to poach players xD

 

Eh, I mean I've been here for 10 years and given them probably a thousand dollars, so I think they can indulge me telling this community about my game if I'm not obnoxious about it.

 

It definitely looks great. I'll give it a shot once it goes live.
