This thread got me thinking about Annex and I posted an idea in the General forum. The guts of it are as follows...

'I would like to suggest a change to the Annex ability that better reflects the definition of the name...

'annex: to take possession of an area of land or a country, usually by force or without permission'

New ability is then...

Annex: if this champion is within an opponent's font then a single champion rune of the same faction as this champion may be deployed adjacent to this champion. AP: 4. Cooldown: 5.

The fluff is that the land around the Diplomat has been 'annexed'. Somewhat like a little piece of England on the French side of the Channel Tunnel, and vice versa.

The effect is to have the opportunity to deploy a champ right into the heart of the battle. Without any font defender abilities, then it would only work for a turn, as the enemy font would become contested, thus Annex would not apply.'

 

Would be INSANELY powerful.

In about 12 hours or so yeah. Maybe sooner depending on if I decide to actually go to sleep. XD I have the general consensus already written down.

We're pretty much in unity about the changes we would like to see.

 

Conclusion:

• Several Good Ideas, and suggestions made.

General Consensus:

• Life Siphon: Makes her expense
• Annex: Pointless
• -1spd + Ready would keep her the same, but slightly cheaper.

Uprade Path 2 Suggestions:

• Expedite/Rebuke 3/Relieve
• Expedite/Regen 2/Relieve
• Expedite/Rebuke 3/Regen 2

Tormented was also suggested with a flavorful addition. "Don't shoot the messenger"

Trivia!

During the Revolutionary war in North America they had firing-lines where those shooting their muskets would be in front, and when they needed to reload, they would duck down, or step behind the back line so they could shoot.

Neither side really wanted to fight, and kill. After all most were family of some relation. They just wanted to be left alone. So a common thing that happened when a Messenger walked across the battlefield. Those firing-lines he walked in-front of would stop shooting.

This was just in-case the messenger was relaying a "White flag message"

That is how the phrase. "Don't shoot/Don't kill the Messenger" came about!
