I just want to say, these are really big changes to the faction meta, and I like it. Remake of cavernkeeper is really nice, and general loss to efficiency of several units is great.
Glad mogas didn't get hit too hard. Heal Mass looks interesting. Clap Clap for Spirit of the Mountain. Anddddd, not surprised about whirling quarry. Overall, I think we did well.
Only change I like is to the Nid Dream. All the rest is linda ok...our healer got gutted ( especially my favorite Cavernkeeper). The Breaker new concept could be interesting. -Voil:no more boost, voil cavern proc only once a turn, bulwark to 2 hp, will see how they will go now. Not really happy but mainly because we lost the Emerald
emerald is a big blow, , be a while before I can move past that. the decrease down to 2 range for dam and distract on zephyr , kinda lame,,,3 would have been decent. its too small an area. other then that ,, its not to bad. yea cavern sucks now.
Cyclops lost boost but gained in theme pull. Siblings theme still hard to pull off because no reveal options. We no longer have commander, but battlemaster should do. Minor changes to other cyclops. Would like nemisis to get 5 speed so that he fits in one of my themes. If earthmover not changed then nemisis is still bad. Earthmover is a 82 nora champ.
Yeah, kinda sad about the Warwizards. Someday, someday... I'd also like to mention that Cyclops Shaman is... Rather boring. @Gnomes is there any reason to run him in Clops (besides 5 spd in a Drummer bg I suppose)?
Now that SP lost cleansing emerald he might see more play, seeing as he has relieve. other then that, i guess backlash. but nora gen is not to prevalent at the moment anyhow, use to be better when unholy tomb was auto. i want boost back. we lost boost and commander. and boost aloud cyclops to always have the highest hp. with +15 from boost, sibling banner...
I'm literally running Terraced Slag over him. That little guy can be hard to remove, and has actual cleanse. I might switch for a Hyaenid Witchdoctor though.
Moga/G'hern nerfed into the ground, im pretty sure i was the only one playing them ( not too succesfully either) and they cop this? Soothsayer is now junk, nora costs across the board and other general nerfs on alot of the G'hern. why ? i dont understand.
Moga/G'hern are still decent the fact that they got to have a ranged unit with surge is surprising im happy about it tho.
@Sokolov Why the huge nerf to Isangoma's damage? I see that he lost surge AND had his damage decreased to 7? I guess I'm just not sure why he had both done. Also, was there a lot of discussion going on about the low cost of Moga? I think I remember something about it, but it seemed like a minor player complaint at the time. Imperialist has Bulwark now...
Oh ya i realize now but two units lost bulwark and lost range surge it took a serious hit but they are still fine i was just saying it was brutal lol moga still seem fine to me honestly from what ive played post patch
Also voil sorcerer was the only good ranged unit voil had unfortunately. So now i may consider running a second harpoon just to have access to pull...idk losing surge on him while other units got to keep it doesnt make sense to me? Either range surge is bad and no one should have it or its fine as it was? I think making sorcerer 4-5 range and docking his base dmg might have been a better idea idk
lol. No. She was the best, but not the only good one. Voil Bomber: Still incredibly good, as he always has been. Voil Screecher: Certainly not amazing, but very consistent and hard to get rid of. I like him. Voil Skyhowler: He can be kitted out to deal an absurd amount of damage for his cost, rather squishy though. Maybe we'll get to see these guys more often from now on. Her surge ability was especially potent, coupled with her high base damage, her long range, and the rather large number of Voil you could get out, made her one of the most efficient and deadly ranged units in the game. A few other ranged units kept surge because they weren't dominating the meta quite as badly. Some of them also had some slight nerfs along the way as well. Voil Sorcerer was also slightly redesigned to be able to hit LOTS of enemy units, as she is one of the few magic-damage champs the Voil have.
I'm not entirely certain they need it. But Defender/Battlemaster is good (we have one Battlemaster currently?).
