and axe, if i remember right the one i took part in was a bracketed tournament where (predictably) i ended up vs devils in the finals, it wasn't a war proper (just a showing of my fearsome might). there may have been another, but i can't remember at this point i lost due to a bug. and there wasn't another war since then, that i can recall (though we brought it up- you guys just thought i'd roll all over you. legit concern PPPPPPPP: )
The original and actual wars actually took place before either of you even played the game, you must be confused with a tournament or something, though perhaps it was during my year hiatus I don't ever remember competing in a bracketed war.
I'm pretty sure SP is a client state of the Sundered Lands that isn't allowed to handle its own foreign diplomacy let alone go to war with other nations.
Man I miss the bases, and taunts and name tokens. Feels like Pox has gone backwards in terms of customisation and immersion within the game.
To be honest, the biggest hit of nostalgia was actually seeing the dwarven king again. I remember buying one specifically(Weird to think you could buy individual runes back then) because it was such an auto include for any IS bg and could trade it off for a lot of stuff i actually wanted. Back when the rng 6-8 lich king was insanity and also auto include in FW.
It's technically a board game it should have bases. If they could be redone and be customized I'm pretty sure they would fit perfectly. I originally started playing Pox because I liked different color ring bases. With that said a toggle on and off option be nice.
