How do you use Moga Sapper properly and what upgrades do you use?

 

I haven't played this bg but I have been seeing sapper/cannon combos of late, it is pretty deadly. All you are supposed to do is either run or toss the sapper to an adjacent enemy and then you fire on the enemy with the moga cannon. The artillery from the cannon triggers the sapper's fire volatility and does additional fire damage. If you are lucky, the sapper will die as well and do more damage.

 

Luck no. If you calculate it correctly they will die.
