Now the reason UD have loads of players is because of Sepulchres guide. Time for SP to have 1 thread, BG for each race, and a budget BG of all mixed ; along with an expensive top of the line BG. I will start off. Budget Meta SP Champions 2 Kanen Scavengers 2 Hyaenid Instigator 2 Moga Cannons 2 Voltaic Slags 2 Voil Stormflyer 2 Cyclops Mauler 2 Overcharged Golems 1 Dirge Moga God 1 Klub the Devourer 1 Lance Admiral Sceian Spells 2 lightning storm Boulder throw or Vertical Push Peaks Tactics Relics 2 Thunderhead Totems 1 Tribal Post 1 Cleansing Emerald Equipment 2 Lightning Rods 2 Ol' Sok 1 Slaver's Whip Auto Includes For Top of the Line Meta 2 Cyclonic Fesh 2 Peaks Dao 2 Chaos Brave 2 Voil Jester 1 G'hern Soothsayer 1 G'hern General 1 Slag Overmind 1 Kanen Slipped 1 Dirge Moga Lord 1 Klub the Devourer 1 Whispers in the Mind 1 Rock Trap 1 Spike if you have Klub the Devourer Possible Includes 2 Barbarian Bolt if you cant afford Cyclops Storm Caller 2 Goliath Fesh 2 Kanen Trackers 2 Mud Elemental 2 Voil Kings Crypt 1 Pit Wolf Thunderhead totem + Overcharged golems leads to easy 1 turns. Lightning rod + lightning storm works if you are desperate to get rid of a champ. Cyclops Stormcaller + Lightning Rod works well. Lifestealer + Ol' Sok is really effective, its the same with any ranged champion. Mundunugu deals with any vaporise champs. If you have got an overcharged golem who can use power attack on a 40hp champ, and a thunderhead totem, just go for the kill! Its the best combo in SP atm, and its op! Here is GabrielQs Budget BG its probs better! http://poxbase.com/#!/deck/C3nCjOcuFcaGcaHc5Tcq4cgJC6QC5nCwHC3QS5Qs1ks6_s59s82r2Yr=rOr2lE1j
Also, SP historically has been the most affordable, but that may be in part due to the lack of players/demand =P. But yeah, some budget guides wouldn't be a terrible idea, I will wait to see the new starters first though =)
When I first started playing this after the first few expansions. SP was the most popular faction; and UD was the least popular. Then everyone started running UDs budget bgs and it became the most popular. Now to get everyone running budget SP bgs!
Budget BG Champions 2 Firebomber 2 Hyaenid Breaker 2 Hyaenid Spearman 2 Hyaenid Mundunugu 2 Voil Stormflyer 2 Cyclops Storm Caller 2 Overcharged Golems 2 Voil Lifestealer 1 Lance Admiral Sceian Spells 2 lightning storm Boulder throw or Vertical Push Peaks Tactics Relics 2 Thunderhead Totems 1 Tribal Post 1 Cleansing Emerald Equipment 2 Lightning Rods 2 Ol' Sok 1 Slaver's Whip Thunderhead totem + Overcharged golems leads to easy 1 turns. Lightning rod + lightning storm works if you are desperate to get rid of a champ. Cyclops Stormcaller + Lightning Rod works well. Lifestealer + Ol' Sok is really effective, its the same with any ranged champion. Mundunugu deals with any vaporise champs.
*Sepulcher, not chre Anyhow, SP just doesn't have that much interesting cards compared to other factions. "demons" just look a lot more appealing, it has nothing to do with a guide.
Almost naked chicks with spikes and such are much more attractive for a new player than cyclopi. Sepulcher's guide was helpful, it pushed me into UD as a new player, yet it was the overall flavour that glued me to UD. 2 x Nightmare, 2 x Soulbleeder staple and go into the battle.
With SP it is overcharged golem + thunderhead totem for a possible 52 damage against a 0 def unit. Then its a Cyclops storm caller + lightning rod for around 30 damage. See you are proof its sepulchres guide that gets the new people alk. I just saw Borice almost beat devilswrath with voil, I will try to get him to post his bg!
I'll help with a budget SP BG without legendaries and with only one exo. http://poxbase.com/#!/deck/C3nCjOcuFcaGcaHc5Tcq4cgJC6QC5nCwHC3QS5Qs1ks6_s59s82r2Yr=rOr2lE1j It's focused on low scale powerturns with the help of alacrity, vicious harpoon, declare target and warcry, with the possibility to increase the advantage through swarms of hyaenid instigator or voil king's crypt. Voil transporters can take a instigator across the map easily to get the most of his initiative.
Feshes actually tempted me to go to SP. I think its all about the Aesthetics. Thus, FW n UD was popular. Who'd pick an overgrown earthworm VS a Lich Lord that teleports and freezes its enemies VS the chance to control a gazillion of sexy daemon chicks? this guy. imo, I'm actually quite opposed with telling the public of our synergies. But up to u vorian haha. And also, I think its not efficient to have 2-of of everything in a BG..., if its not thematically important like Voil Infernal, its best to keep everything to 1-ofs, to keep ur options open as SP have hardcounters to a lot of stuff. Maybe 2 Jesters, one for Sever Summons, one for Backlash. Both with Divert/Cackle.
Personally the thing that I liked about Sep's old guide was that it covered every single rune and talked about all of their strengths and weaknesses and what were good ways to play them. It wasn't just that he provided some good budget BGs to try out. Also, his guide covered in detail how to play UD at a somewhat advanced level (ie covering how DEP's Relocate: Demon worked) which I found very helpful personally. Is there anything in SP that could be put into an in depth SP guide along these lines?
The key to sp is lance admiral sciean and his power turns. You can lose or win depending on whether you get him or not, it was like that when he cost 107 nora. Now he matters more than ever! Then kf got warcry for 90 nora x2, and I wonder why everyone in kf doesn't run em.
Voil transporter -----on par with----- deep elf priestess right now. great for moving champs in and out, plus detection.
The difference is deepelf priestess beckon demon has a call down of 1 so it is twice as good! G'hern thrower is the sp deepelf priestess.
