guys please i dont want the tournament to last forever, we need to start another one^_^ i'll give everybody one more week to play. so new deadline is 5th of november (remember remember). after that date, all match not played will be considered lost by both players and only who played will pass next turn

Yep, it's my fault we haven't played yet.

 

if both players don't contact me, both will be considered losers. if two players cannot find time to play, they can agree on a winner by default that goes on in the tournament.

This is bullshit. I have been on for the almost two months since this tourney started and the few days i wasn't on the deadline comes up and now I get hosed. xazansoulx shows up last minute and it's all good

 

you've been up all group stage and that's ok. xazn and you both have been quite away all finalstage time. if you both can get an agreement on when you can play, no prob. nobody is biasing anybody , this game isn't our job, a lot of people dropped no big deal.

 

You wish to increase ladder rewards?

 

This would be amazing (when has pox playerbase not in hibernation).

 

The problem with rewarding based on participation is that it lacks the competitive element of a pure skill based tournament.

Perhaps it could be two rounds (as has been done in the past) with the first based on both participation and wins (points for a loss and more for a win - perhaps with prizes for this) and the second round a knock out stage.

These tend to sort out the inactive players in the first round without unconvincing the others.
