    Is it safe to say rare for rare, exotic for exotic, etc? I really want to beef up my UD options, but don't want to shard everything else from other factions, I would rather trade. Can I use the shard price as a good guide for a trade?

    You can usually find people willing to do 1 :1 trades yes.
