Most of the potential "cures" were covered, just not positively after some initial hype simply because follow up studies couldn't replicate early observational findings, if any existed at all. HCQ in particular is the most studied drugs in relation to COVID by far, and the media coverage led to shortages. One of the few things you post that is actually true. There have only been 3 deaths that have been linked to the vaccines (only the J&J one).
So one of the studies that showed promise for HCQ was one from Henry Ford. It had problems, however, such as that the treatment protocol was based on underlying conditions, which introduces an inherent bias in the results. They also adjusted the death rate based on whether a patient received ventilator support, further skewing the results based on things outside of the use of the drug.
