Yeah, I think I am out. Getting rid of collection.

There are just fundamental aspects of this game that don't work for me and rather than expect it to cater to my particular desires I think it is probably just better to walk away.

Getting rid of my collection. Would prefer to get rid of it in one fell swoop.

It's a shame to see new players like yourself already quitting, but I cant say Im surprised.
Unfortunately, one of the most fundamental aspects of a game such as Pox is that its balance has to be one of the priorities, or at least watched closely on a regular basis.
And even though Sok is a great guy, with the best intentions and a hard worker, he is just overwhelmed by the amount of clueless players spamming him with requests.
Most of the good players in Pox are gone, the "new generation" has no idea how to properly judge balance, and b0ttom line they are the ones running the game.
I mean, take this guy MW24 or whatever his name is. Who the heck is this guy? And now hes just spamming the crap out of posts/threads claiming hes a top notch player and that he deserves to be heard.
And you know whats sad? Eventually he is going to be heard, because Sok is "too nice" to people.
But I wish you all the luck with your endeavors and make sure you stop by every once in a while to say hi.

My particular problems is that I just fundamentally dislike FW. Both the particular mechanics that make up the faction and the sort of playstyle that is used by successful bgs is just highly unfun to me. It was easy enough to ignore this when FW was not played that much in the part of the ladder I am at, but now that it is "good" again, it is no longer possible. I can't really expect that FW is going to remain forever bad, and I can't really expect that my particular preferences are going to be accommodated for in face of all the players who really do love that sort of play style. So, I am out.

If you don't mind me asking, what are you devoting time towards instead of Pox now?

 

You should do giveaways in general. Maybe have someone set up some tournaments, and sue your runes as prizes?

Finishing graduate school. Starting a new job in a new city in a different part of the country in like a month and a half. For games, probably Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup and Pillars of Eternity in the short term. Who knows long term.
