I play battle forge now... although the biggest deterrent is getting my ass handed to me all the time... I'm going to keep an eye on MTGT

Timeline for y'all:

- SoE buys Octopi
- interview with Dan (the creator of Pox) hints at other projects
- new employees brought on to Pox but others go mysteriously quiet/missing
- despite the added resources SoE could bring to the table, Pox releases some pretty vanilla expansions, with no new added content other than the moneymakers (avatars, LEs)
- MTGT is announced, and it is revealed that some former Octopi employees are working on it

What this says to me? SoE bought Octopi for the purpose of using their employee expertise and intellectual properties on other projects, with MTGT now revealed as the big one.

I do not however, feel that Pox and MTGT are in direct competition with each other, given the huge difference in player base. It is like comparing your local cornerstore to Walmart.

I don't even know how to tell my PVP rank. I'v played about 25 matches so far, and lost most of them, can't be very good. You should play me some time?

My handle there is skuzzzel (three zs) add me or some thing.

edit - I'm rank 7... woot woot... lol

Just to point out, the reason that the expansions have been somewhat on an even keel is due to the fact that the direction of the game has only just recently changed when CorpsE took the helm.

Dire Covenant is more likely than not going to be the last expansion we see which has the old direction Pox was taking. Not only that, if you compare Broodcall to the older expansions, even with Broodcall being designed under the old direction, there have been more changes done to runes/abilities/etc than any 2-3 expansions put together (Possibly more than only 2-3 expansions).

Expect to see major changes in gameplay/released runes/abilities/etc. in the expansions after Dire Covenant.
