is there ever a reason NOT to deploy a WE Groble first? Assuming init isn't a factor?


consider this question being asked at both 9 and 11 speeds

if i got the choice if i drop WE-G or Whitestone Garg first, the Garg wins, other then that an early WE-G is always nice

I'd probably deploy Gargoyle.

But Groble is second choice.

It depends on what the other one has deployed for example if ur opponent deploys ranged its not a good idea to deploy him, other then that its a good first deployment,

But i do agree a garg is always better as he can take lots of dmg at the start.

Well see for my first turn I like to drop....... A champion. But then again AoE'ing my own shrine works too.

In that order for me in a typical game.

But WEG at the first turn will be buffed at the following turns. And most of us run him at 11 spd (I never saw 11 spd Garg before). So, for me it deploys ASAP.

but garg don't need any buffs, is a flying hard to kill unit who can debuff enemies and do DoT with rend. As a first turn champ it is far more efficient than we-grobble
