I have been a long time fan and advocate of the sand theme in SL before it really was even viable. We have gone through a lot of changes over the last couple of years and this includes rebalancing and even remaking runes completely.

Here are my thoughts and ideas for changes to current runes as of 10/21/24. I would love feedback and engagement. I will be posting anything I find relevant from the discord in this thread as well.

So Coming back to pox after years I find the game updated and in a better spot than ever before. I also find that I had no idea how bad of a player I was before my favorite theme has always been sand and I am now on a quest to create and refine a current sand BG. No one ever posts on here, so I thought I would go ahead and post some battle groups. These are not meant to be high level competitive, but they there is a built in strategy for each one that works decently.

Draketooth Rifle, Valdaci Shieldwarden (w/ Weaken Spells), Akakios, Enslave and Mine Field are experimental.

Other runes I'm considering: Draksar Morph w/ Metamorphosis (super champ counter), Locust (summons counter), Skeezick Trigger (relic counter), Draksar Shifter and Sandstalker Lord (alternatives to Akakios/Shieldwarden), Kanen Crone (long range, late game), and Skywing Sonicbolt (Swap).

1. first Firk them up with massive AEO spam coz there is so much hate in pox nowadays like imunity this and that this goes around it

2.To spam spell and make ADAPTIVE champs like monsters, its surprise heal and dmg , because there is so many champs with comb. awareness so make champs big and single target swing

I just started thumbing threw SL runes today and realized I don't think I've played against or seen a Skeezick deck since I started playing fairly regularly again.

In general this particular spot on the forums seems pretty silent but I do see a good bit of Dragon and the occasional Drak theme mixed in with Junk stuff. Anybody got a current BG to post?

Been seeing this rune a lot lately and most of it outside of draksar and beast. Seems like people are just sticking it into meta and splits and its got me confused since glancing at it doesnt really impress me. What are the SL communities thoughts on it?
