Is this like a game where you draft a 'team' of runes and get points for their number of inclusions in the meta? Or does it have something to do with real world sport?
I'm down. However, I have never played this before, even though I've heard a lot about the fantasy leagues. How does it work?
You draft a team of real players from any existing team. You then choose one of your tram members for each position each week to put on your front lineup, and you are paired with an opponent for the week. Every game, every athlete is assigned a number of points based on their performance in their position. At the end of the week, whichever of the two opponents have the most points on their front lineup wins the round, and they are then paired with different opponents for the next week. At the end of the season, the individual with the most weekly wins is the champion (unless there is a playoff session). Make sense?
I believe we did this like 3 or 4 years ago. iirc Sepulchre got first place, I got second and someone else got third... I think it may have been markoth or bakki. Not entirely sure tho
Hummm, cool. Sounds like a heck of a lot work, though. I feel that we should only start this if there are at least 10 people willing to play.
I'm in. 8 player leagues teams feel a little OP. 12 player leagues teams feel a little thin. I wouldn't go any less than 8 or more than 12. I'm willing to set it up and be the commissioner unless someone else wants to.
I was excited... then realised you meant a different "football" As a point, I'm over in the US atm and decided to catch a game as the season just started. One observation, how the hell do you guys manage to watch it when they just cut to adverts all the time? 1. Throw the ball 2. Catch the ball 3. Time out 4. Adverts Repeat!!! I enjoyed the game, but something needs to change!
Advertisements are practically a part of american culture now. Tv shows, sports, etc all have a crazy amount of commercials. I agree though.
So, since the league isnt happening, can we change to thread to"NFL 2015" thread or something like that @Markoth ? I'd really like to have a place where we can talk about football and bash Bears fans.
Yeah sounds good. Im still on cloud 9 after that Dallas win last night. Was the most gut wrenching game since SEA/DAL last year.
Yeah, I heard it was awesome. Shame that I missed it. How about that Rams win, though, did not see that coming.
