A few minutes after i open the game, every time, i get: Poxnora.exe has stopped working A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. And pox closes.
Tried running the steam version. Apparently it's unable to run in fullscreen? Crashed the first time, now seems to be working
Ok... I think that I just can't run poxnora in fullscreen. EDIT: nope it just decided to work that one time and crashes again now.
Hmm, make sure you have the latest driver for your graphics card installed. Win 10 has a track record of overwriting the drivers with the windows default drivers when an update is installed.
Are you still able to play using the Steam version of the game? On the standalone version did you uninstall Pox Nora and delete the Pox Nora folder in your install directory and then tried reinstalling the game?
Both still don't work, i'll try reinstalling all of pox. I just sorta assumed that wouldn't help because steam had the same issue. EDIT Yeh fully reinstalled, same problem.
I'm not sure, maybe 20 days ago? But twice recently during the time when it crashes, it hasn't. Normally it only takes a few mins but occasionally ill be able to play for a few hours without it crashing at all. This is really weird.
Yeah, that is very odd. You may need to add Pox Nora as an exception to Windows Defender and to your Windows Firewall. There may be a possibility that the Win 10 Anniversary update caused some sort of conflict, but that it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't is suspicious.
Ok so hoping I don't jinx this and make it break again. Couldn't find pox in the windows defender list, but did find a button to run a compatibility troubleshooter, after which I am now running it emulating windows 7. The 2 times I have opened it after this, it has not crashed. I'm also keeping it not full-screen, just in case.
That is odd because you shouldn't need to run it in compatibility mode, so that oddity is still in play. With that said, it is good you are able to play.
