I got it, it came to me just now, the tesseract order, star wars was never meant to be chronological it is folded into itself like the 4 dimensional hypothetical I am naming the order! sure the machete order i still in there but there is more star wars now so it is outdated! EP VII v solo? maybe? v Rogue one v Ep IV v EP V v (optional EP I) v EP II v EP III v EP VI v EP VIII discuss?
I haven't watched VII, VIII, or Rogue One, but I definitely agree with the Machete order which is a subset of what you posted. IV > V > II > III > VI, with I being optional after V.
i've always told people to watch it this way, the extra movies can just be viewed as spin offs to keep them interested in the universe.
why fit 7 and 8 in at all? doesn't add anything to the others. I can agree with fitting rogue 1 in though, not the best movie but I do think it adds something to the originals solo will add nothing, it looks terrible. rogue one as the start to everything seems wrong...just not sure where i'd fit it in.
nono look at it through fresh eyes! also you've seen Solo already? what? or are you judging by trailers?
General rule of thumb movies look better in the trailers then in reality. Occasionally it's the other way around, though I doubt that will be the case here. As for fresh eyes...what do you mean by this? My wife watched the series for the first time recently and hated 7 and 8 as well. I assume she's in the 1% of westerners that haven't watched star wars yet willing to watch it. Those not interested aren't buying tickets.
yep, what I meat by standard. tbh the only thing i'm excited for in the star wars franchise is a particular fan re-edit of the last jedi that is looking like it will be amazing when it's finished.
