xezno I need me some PIE!

So I have avoided this guy up til now simply do to the fact he looks overly complex. With 5 possible forms outside of just his main form, it is to much for a new player to take in. Now that I am slowly advancing from noob to whatever the next level is (less-noob but still a noob?) I decided to take on the challenge of understanding this unit but I have a few questions.

    1) Is this guy worth my time even? I have never seen anyone use him and he is 2x2 but he is also only 70 nora and super versatile.

    2) What are the best choices on upgrades? I am thinking Eagle and Wolf form. The more I inspect Eagle form is better in every way than Dark Raven form. It even cost less AP? Why is Dark Raven form so bad in comparison or am I missing something?

I plan on putting this guy in a beast deck (never made a beast deck before). Any advice or tips would be much appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.

150 question final in a few hours so I am on here of course

He's definitely a good rune. I run in him in several of my BG's but the funny thing is, I never seem to deploy him unless he is all I have drawn. He has good synergy with elves, beasts, and magic amp decks. His problem is he is good at everything but does not really excel at much. If I want a tank I'll drop a forest giant or boa. If I want a melee beater I'll drop a civilized wilderking, wild elf, or falconer. If I want a range magic champ I'll drop an angel of restoration, Bliss, menalaus, etc. In summary he is good at a lot of things but does not excel at anything which may explain why I rarely drop him despite him being in most of my BGs.
