Hurricane Matthew

Sounds like you're in Florida. If so take care and be safe. If you're north of the Cape and close to the coast, get out of Dodge. If you're south of the Cape and close to the coast down to about Fort Pierce, pray the storm turns north.

It's a killer storm looking for victims. It's back down to 937mbs. It was 934mbs when it hit Haiti.

 

I'm in Orlando actually, so we should be fine. Just power loss hopefully will be it. I think.

 

Alternatively you could all go live somewhere else. The giant storms blowing trough every couple of years should have been a clue.

 

Coastal Georgia and South Carolina are in the danger zone now. At least the storm has weakened some.

You have to admit that was a bad time for that website to go down. Fox news mentioned it to, but thought it had something to do with the storm. I had checked the website just a few minutes before to see the 1100PM bulletin.

BTW we didn't have net access at work this morning either.

I hope my comments about the storm have been helpful. I considered applying for a job offered at the NHC when I was out of work in 1995 after getting the Master's Degree.

 

The worst may be getting over. The wind you feel in NC is Florida breathing a sigh of relief the eye wall stayed just off shore.

 

The waffle houses closed. This is a big deal

 

unless they sell Stroopwafels I feel I care suprisingly little about this.
