any chance this is going to get redone soon cause i would like to make a dwarve deck with this amazing advice but it is soo out of date it isnt funny
Not to mention I just can't bring myself to play the game in this state, so my critique would be incredibly unhelpful. Rest assured though, if/when Pox gets back on its feet, the guide will take a high priority. In the meantime, there are only 2 things you need to know about Dwarves: 1. They like to drink ale. 2. They're OP.
Here are some recent posts regarding dwarves. Hopefully these will be helpful. http://forums.poxnora.com/index.php?threads/my-dwarf-bg.4391/ http://forums.poxnora.com/index.php?threads/help-tuning-dwarf-bg.6875/ http://forums.poxnora.com/index.php?threads/dwarves-united.5111/ Here are a couple battlegroups I've seen: http://poxbase.com/deck/C8QcFCq_CakctdC4Kc6nc8mc3Wc5jCgacfgsfSls7ms4GsPs2prHrgrirYeQe_ Drunken Theme: http://poxbase.com/deck/C8QcFCq_CakctdC4Kc6nc8mc3Wc5jCgacfgsfSls7ms4GsPs2prHrgrirYeQe_ Goal is to equip dwarves with brew and shatter, pilfer, or snatch it at the right time to cause enrage. http://poxbase.com/deck/C8QcFCq_CakctdC4Kc6nc8mc3Wc5jCgacfgsfSls7ms4GsPs2prHrgrirYeQe_ Here is one I have liked. This one has some favorites in it that may not be included in meta. I like Medic with Shroud of Al'Mara to give him more healing options and cleanse. Brubaker Brothers are also a favorite if you can get them together at the same time. I have also thought about adding Providence to use with Brubaker Brothers and Hold the Line to add Barricade for them. I hope this helps.
Would it be possible to get an update on this Jazzy? If its going to remain sticky it needs to be relevant.
I was thinking of doing guides for each of the themes, no problem redoing a Dwarf one if Jazz isn't around to keep this up to date.
ok, i'll leave this stickied in the meantime, and then if Axe produces a good upto date guide that can replace this. There is a still a lot of good info here
Yeah, aside from a few specific cases (e.g. DMC, Handler), the info is still pretty good, and captures the gist of what the rune is good for or not. The spells/relics/equips section, for instance, doesn't need much updating at all, if any, since nothing there got changed with the revamp. Same goes for the "General Deckbuilding Advice" section, which contains a HUGE amount of great stuff on creating a good deck; info that rarely gets outdated simply due to how true it remains over time. Nevertheless, it would be great if someone more active and knowledgeable about the current state of the game would remake the guide, however long a process that may be.
Yeah Il get onto it, I'l start with the Dwarves since a lot of the infos already here and they are probably our most competitive BG atm anyway, il try get it up sometime next week.
At long last, I have begun the process of updating this guide. I'll be working on it for the rest of the weekend, so it should be finished in a few days. I won't bore you all with the details of why I haven't gotten around to it until now, but I will say I've had multiple requests (both in and out of game) for an update, so here it is! I'll try to cover the Coalitions stuff too, but the main work will be updating the current rune reviews and decks.
This is what I am playing atm. Still testing a few things but it plays well and has dominated a few top players.
Priest of Valdac is pretty much it. I kinda want to start running Desperate Heal again though in a deck that has a few Impassioned units.
