Discussion: Patch Notes: March 26th, 2015

When I took the game back over, I said, more or less, this:

• I wanted to bring a lot of balance outliers in line
  • Previous patches have done a lot of this, it's never ending process, of course, but I'd argue almost everything that was truly broken when I arrived has been fixed (your mileage may vary here, of course)
  • I also said I'd be initially focused on nerfs, which has been true (you can look at old patch notes for this)
• I wanted to review/update a lot of themes
  • This is an ongoing process, but patches have done this, and there are numerous threads in General as well as faction forums where I have participated in these sort of discussions
  • Many of the runes buffed in this patch are theme specific
• I wanted to bring back a lot of what made champions special
  • Again, on-going, if you look at the buffs I have made to champions, you should see evidence of this
• I wanted to change the way the Council worked, using them more as early feedback for new content and specific tricky topics, but opening up more transparency to the greater public via the Crate and other avenues

I think we are on the right path. It's slow going, but we are getting there.

Yea, I remember now, I think the key is that you can use that nora on something else, which was what was happening. You'd Retreat an almost dead Gnark or whatever, then drop an AE or two.

 

Damn, no buff to Barricade?! What this @Sokolov doing?

 

• Choking Stench's Poison Cloud no longer does damage on deploy, impacting the Mushroom primarily and also the Toad
• Toad no longer gets to have Lethargic
• Forced Recon got hit
• PHS lost Gore (didn't show up in notes because no description actually changed, @Senshu has addded it for me)
• Bubble + One With Nora got fixed
• I meant to hit Angel of Nourishment as well (it's in the approved section of the crate), but missed it, so my mistake on that one

 

Oh, Backlash does impact Spell nora gen now, so, there's that also.

Plus Flame Siphon nerf has a non-zero impact on FS.

 

Death Sentence was removed in favor of Judgment.

That has now been reversed and we now have Death Sentence instead of Judgment. Except Torien, he still has it for now.
