I've been wanting to try out innovation for a while now. Heard it's good. But I play bgs for a face-to-face, tactile experience!
It's much easier to learn this one online because it's so crazy. I also prefer online here because there's so much counting.
It is so much easier online... but in some ways the inevitable 15 min discussion on how things should go when playing irl is fun too lol
We pick a time and then get online on that website at the same time @Ohmin, you in for Innovation? There is almost no requirement other than being to browse the internet to play this one
Since I have absolutely no idea what that game is or entails... Sure! I'd be willing to give it a whack some time. I've had more free time of late. I'm often busy in the mornings, set up a time in the afternoon PDT a day or two in advance and I'd be happy to join.
I could probably play at work some time. so, whenever! probably not this weekend as im moving apartments and going to the annual alpaca convention on saturday.
except that you need 2 copies for enough pieces and the willingness to completely rewrite the rules to make a decent game out of it (which I have). the game as written feels more like a simulation of the quest to get the ring to mordor wth very asymmetric starts. and the gameplay imo turns into an almost homm cat and mouse with army stacks. my variant ignores the 'path of the ring' and adopts many concepts from castle risk and reworks how many of the cards function and treats all factions as independent players rather than having teams. /shrug its more to my taste anyway.
Now is too soon, but if we get @newsbuff* to confirm I could play tomorrow at around this time, or a number of hours sooner. *Or if it works fine with just the two of us and any randoms we scrape in.
