What does it mean to be a Shardseer or Shardmaster? Some Jakei's study wizardry, and one specific focus of study is shard mastery. This is not the same as the Chillshard, but it's a special skill. The skill is forming piercing cones of ice, called shards, from the fresh snow around them. This gives them the ability to shoot multiple shots and from a greater distance. A few Shardmasters, who are bold enough, attempt to become Shardseers. Shardseers are able to form shards like shardmasters, but they can also detect things around them that are unseen. However, only one Shardseer has achieved the highest level of Shardseeing; and because of her dedication to her craft, Kae'yun has been blessed.
