I have been a long time fan and advocate of the sand theme in SL before it really was even viable. We have gone through a lot of changes over the last couple of years and this includes rebalancing and even remaking runes completely. Here are my thoughts and ideas for changes to current runes as of 10/21/24. I would love feedback and engagement. I will be posting anything I find relevant from the discord in this thread as well. Here are the list of SL runes in the sand theme based on either generating sand or otherwise interacting with it (hidden, domain, etc): Champs: Demonic Sandclaw Draksar Explorer Draksar Hunchback Draksar Sandstalker Dune Walker Dunes Manticore Farcrags Sandkip Farcrags Tardigrade Kanen Tracker Locust Mantid Traker Myx Broodlord Myx Drone Myx Incubator Myx Matriarch Myx Sandlion Myx Slasher Myx Spitter Rolling Shrieker Sand Elemental Sand Scorpion Sand Spitter Sandhunter Sandstalker Dustdevil Sandstalker Lord Skeezick Baiter Skeezick Herder Skeezick Wylder Skywing Imperator Sundered Doombringer Tainted Vinecreeper Varu Dragon Spells: Burning Sands Call to War Sandspout Sandstorm Verdict of Derifos Relics: Sand Generator Skywing Beacon Equips: Dunewalker's Mantle Runes in a good spot: The following are runes that fill a role in the theme and are currently used Demonic Sandclaw: This rune is a melee beater. Reasonably durable and does a lot of damage. Very affordable. Draksar Hunchback: a frontline tank who generates sand by getting hit. Mid-rang cost feels fair for his durability. Draksar Sandstalker: Finally this guy feels good to use. He is an assassin and is a high threat. Moderate cost is fair Dune Walker: Cheap utility champ who can do decent damage based on loadout. Allows you to get reinforcements into the fight. Dunes Manticore: A Utility champ who heals and provides CC.
