(Supposed to) only affect same race? Honestly I'd rather have drive in most situations, same damage, 1 less AP but without the condition of having to actually hit a goddamn enemy which can be easily. A Dwarven Sarg w/ drive now does everything a DK can do without having to actually be near a champ being hit, + after the bug is fixed it'll be superior in that it affects everyone. On top of all this he was given a cost increase + less HP + no more Battlemaster. I don't think 1 more speed was worth that much. Why in the world should I run a DK (other than thematic reasons) when I can just run sarges and bloody gallows wardens/veteran barbs for cheap 20 nora cheaper? If the devs are that worried about the AP gen then just make it a goddamn 0ap CD 2 ability that generates AP/damage so it can't be used every turn and is subject to distracted and Bane Shift rather than making the ability so underwhelming.
He's still worth a slot in full Dwarf decks. The thing is, Warcry still has an AOE of 3, meaning it has the potential to affect more champs that a single Sarge could Drive in a turn. Not to mention all King has to do is attack, while Sarge has to burn his own AP to Drive things. There's also the 2 HP loss to consider; if you're Driving everything every turn, that HP loss is going to add up eventually. I don't know about you, but I never seem to have room for any healers in my decks these days. You've also got to consider that King is still a 60 HP champ that can get up to 5 DEF with Melee Specialist 2. This makes him considerably more sturdy than a Sarge. They also have quite different playstyles IMO. Sarge is often kept in the back line, handing out AP or providing a defensive buff. King is frequently on the front lines, drawing threat and acting as a powerturn linchpin. While they both provide free AP, they do it in different ways, and the comparison should go no further than that. Sure, in a non-dwarf goodstuff deck you'll probably have to drop Kings, but that doesn't mean you can't still run Minister, Sarges, Catapults, Tinkerers, and our array of re-positioning spells. In this meta, it's adapt or die. King was bound to bite it sooner or later.
You should be running him at 87. 2x auto in dorfs. Is it worse than it was? Yes. Is it still bad ass? Affirmative.
I am testing 1/2Skeez atm as well. Havnt decided which I prefer though 13 nora difference is pretty large if you are just looking for Warcry. King is most definitely more expensive but he is a heck of a lot tankier.
Yeah that was a straight up nerf :/ Lost his vulnerability but also 2 defense. Also costs like 6 more now.
The race thing is going to murder a lot of things in IS. I dunno, its worth stacking for wombo purposes just not on DK himself. 90 Nora getting drowned is major.
So what's with the discrimination on crusader? Why is he the ONLY human left in IS that's NOT barbarian?
