You didn't watch the presidential debate last night

presidential candidates get votes by promising different groups stuff. they would all win by 51% if they could.

 

I find it interesting that far lefties (socialists and communists and such) claim that the EC is bad/wrong/naughty.

Meanwhile, advocates of liberty and volunteerism and frugality prefer more state power and less centralized power.

Do lovers of massive gvt really believe that abolishing the EC will result in greater breadth and depth of citizen support?




And now, let us turn to an interesting factoid that has popped out of Oregon.

you know you can do both right? you can give both the states better representation and power but at the same time change the electoral college to make the presidential elections more streamlined.

the fact that a significant number of americans think that global warming is the most important issue of our times is reason enough why voting should NOT be a duty. sheep should never vote. they should have the right to vote, just not the obligation. you assume they will educate themselves and use their vote wisely. youre wrong.

Like even if Trump won with 99% they woulda *****ed. The system is ****ed sure but he won fair and square (until proven otherwise). Just go ***** about the system by getting your people in congress to stop taking legal bribes and get them to actually work for you and try and pass some legislation.

I had a nice long chat with my sister about Trump/Hillary. My sister is uh, a european feminist, so a very light version of the american ones, but still a clinton supporter. She didn't understand the concept of "he won but we don't like him so we gotta protest to save the world" being ******** either.
