I am curious about a few things and this attempt to reach a plateau near the 75 mark. The four dragon gods have all gone ballistic in costs making them nearly impossible to play together. Angels in sl are at 101 now and they weren't that fabulous to begin with. There is no longer thirst for battle on any sl champion...including the split champs. I am certainly curious how aiming toward that golden mean is going to happen. In the formula there is a tendency to overlook things that are not part of hp or attack points. For example, how does this affect a champ with 0 attack such as experimental warspirit. That champ still hits very hard and is much less cost than a rune that falls prey to the formula. I agree that there are much more complaints about the overall cost in nora than other issues atm. There are factions that will invariably be much less costs but still very efficient based on this formula when other factors are not taken into account.
I agree completely. Its a fix to the foundation, which definitely should be first. I was simply articulating my opinion as to the general overall effect of these changes on the entire costing issue.
also agreed. since some abilitys are also removed, the higher cost of champions is completely unjustified and evaluation is definitely in order.
Again, i think that was the goal; to stray away from having power champs like heros and dragons and angels all in the same deck and forcing you to choose the one that fits your deck the best. Also, I LOVED angel of war pre-revamp. Punishing Aura, Battle leader.... very versatile champ
Technically yes probably. "Diminishing returns" is refering to the nora cost, yet since lower nora means "better" the diminished nora cost is in fact, an increase in efficiency. Its a nuance, but the term "diminishing cost" might have been better.
OMG, thank you. You really feel those diminishing returns if you're playing more expensive themes or factions... adjusting for that will go a LONG way!! It looks like the Titans, Dragons, and Heroes are getting a lot of love.
I think that this recosting of say... damage is probably NOT warranted. recosting of hp might be. low cost champions tend to have way too much hp compared to nora cost... so go ahead and fix that. however high damage champions have never been too weak.
yes. But there is not punishing aura any longer. Skywings imperators are no longer majestic but cost more. Actually, someone suggested I use skywings and I tried, but they are actually pretty nurfed down atm and too high costed to be effective as a theme. And in terms of attempting to use vindtax at 114 nora...forget about it. Deploy isnt going to happen and there are too many bgs now that are using the efficient champions that didnt get hit with the nerf bat as badly that can rush you and game over. Was hopeful in all of this PT...but somewhat disappointed atm at the overall results
I just see too many people not understanding that revamp is still going on. They know that high cost champion are over prized. They are calculating champion prizes again. Spells, Relic and equipment revamp is still coming. Just silly get too much disappointed on unfinished work. Balance work will never end.
I see that this is an ongoing issue as do others lep....and by the way ....great to see you again! It is the waiting and not fully grasping the adaptation of costs per champion verses other champions that we are finding hard to swallow at the moment. We know they will get this right. Time and patience....
Also, what is up with the abundance of tough 3? Shouldn't that be used sparingly and be worth a lot of nora in the nora cost?
Another huge problem is still champions with the Pet ability. The pets are incredibly OP as is (see Boghopper Huntmaster) and are very game-breaking.
