    Uncommon

    Spell Trap - 2 ideas that might make this rune somehow playable:

    (1) Cost: 40 nora = When triggered, opponent Shrine/Avatar loses 40 HP if playing FF FW; 20 HP instead if playing split. Shrie/Avatar will still lose life even when Fortified. Loss of Life cannot be prevented or redirected.
    (2) Cost: 30 nora = When triggered, all opponent champs loses 5 HP. Loss of life cannot be prevented or redirected.
    (3) Cost: 25 nora = When triggered, opponent loses 20 nora and you gain 20 nora. If opponent's nora is below 20, his/her Shrine or Avatar loses HP equal to the remaining balance.

    Rare

    Eternal Lich - Improve his damage significantly and make him 7spd without additional nora cost. His HP can be lowered in exchange of this. Make him a real glass cannon.

    Hoarfrost Lich - Very, very expensive. Reduce his nora cost to below 80nora

    Necromancer - Make her cheaper. As in cheap, like let's say... less than 60 nora. Give her Vulnerability-Physical just make a significantly cheap utility champ.

    Ghoul - Add 1 more point to base defense and 6 more points to his base HP and on the same time reduce his cost to below 68 nora. Make him at par with the nora cost and base stats of Executiioner or Abomination.

    Exotic

    Bone Elemental - It's nice to see BE finally got Elemental Elemental. But he's very expensive for a tank. He cost way more than the Stitched tyrant but Stitched Tyrant is way better in every aspect: stats, upgrades, and abilities. BE cost should be below 78 nora.

    Lich King - I think there's no way we can lower his cost below 100 nora which is fine, LK's has been always an expensive champ since time immemorial. But I do believe LK needs to have Loyalty back at base without additional nora cost.

    Dark Knight - give him Throw axe at base without additional cost. Melee Specialist or Upgrade Speed as upgrade.

    Moragen - Very xpensive for what she can do. She should have 7 spd and should only cost below 82 nora.

    Carrion Colossus - Honestly I don't know how to fix this big boy of ours. But I always like him coz he's so cute. :)

    For Eternal lich and Hoarfrost lich, phylactery bound just needs to be cheaper. this was mentioned before --> http://forums.poxnora.com/index.php?threads/phylactery-bound.9392/#post-130881
    Bone elemental is pretty great dude, have you tried running it in a skeleton BG? It's a cheaper version of Boneshredder (since you always put cloak of skulls on it)
    Lich king is good in a skeleton BG with surge skeleton 2, no need to buff him

    As always this is a work in progress. I fully expect that the Ronin expansion will probably throw a wrench in this and we may need to adjust it further depending on what happens. The main push of the bonus will be a staple though regardless.

    Yes, he is beautiful but unfortunately paying 100+ nora for some guy who usually gets one rounded after getting one attack off and the carrionlings which are usually cleaned up before they can get an attack off or buff surge worms for long enough to be relevant is just a massive resource sink.

    Compare him to things like gargantua and AA and there is literally no point in taking him. He has nowhere near the utility of either of those champs or the durability. AA is basically as tough without ethereal and with it's physical resist and regen gargantua can take a while to deal with too. So you would think that CC who is basically made to walk into the enemy and soak attacks would have some kind of ability to help him absorb that damage but he has literally nothing. I personally feel like a massive walking pile of rotting flesh should have arrow eater or resist physical or tough or at least something to represent that poking a colossal mass of maggots with swords and arrows isn't really going to bother it a great deal.

    Cut CC's nora cost by 12, replace Dead Eater upgrade with Consume, and change the base HP of Carrionlings to 10-15 HP. Probs viable then - maybe buff Ravenous Torrent.

    Ravenous torrent to chuck carrionling obviously.

    As for CC yeah agree he could use love... actually lots of love is needed on a number of champs.

    Lets see how Ronin shakes out and then I'll adjust this.
    Feel free to keep bouncing ideas out there though.

    Hey Banchi.

    How is it looking like, in terms of things coming up?
    Two questions basically if you happen to know:


    - When's Ronin exp theoretically 'due'?
    - Is the next patch going to happen before Ronin?

    Ronin. Feels like we'll see champs like skeleton samurai, vampire ninja, undead geisha sexier than dark seductress, kamikaze zombies.

    I seem to remember Senshu saying last patch was the last one before they release ronin. I was also prying Moles for info yesterday and he remained tight lipped about the date but from what he said it sounds like they havn't even set one internally yet.

    This would be amazing, a zombie with crushing charge and death nova. I so badly want a Zombie with mobility *weeps*

    Well from what's on the forum they've finished hiring two programmers so it would be however long it takes them to produce an expansion.

    Also as history shows usually an expansion will drop pretty close to previews but I'd be naive to think that delays may not occur with so many new balls being thrown into the air.

    I'll keep my hope alight for now ^_^.

    That's ... intriguing. Disease eater over disease immune would be awesome; a global overkill would be terrifying, especially as a racial. Might be too terrifying? That kind of limited-interaction threat might be boo-ed down. I'd still be for it, though.

    Well the main issue that a lot of people had was that Boon had too much discount.

    With this one it is literally 2 nora worth of abilities. Also Overkill is disruptive in that it really isn't a problem until the end game. It isn't particularly useful in rush since it's capped at 5 and it's on kills so it's purely an attrition end game if it is dragged out.

    Basically Boon's attrition goes up and is costed to the bundled abilities.
    It would also be possible to put something like Disease Explosion on it (rank 1) which is a 1 nora ability but I thought it would be too anti-melee (also bring it to 3 nora)

    In any case just some ideas thrown out there.

    Yeah - I don't think it would be a terrible thing, I can just picture a series of games where the match grinds down to a halt and suddenly Overkill wins the game. I like it, just concerned it could create some unsettling game states that other players would object to. But I would play the heck out of it.

    Oh, that's part of why I love the idea: insane inevitability. But my concern would be that this particular type of inevitable victory would feel frustrating, non-interactive, or swing-y to players on the other end of it. That's just guess work though - nothing similar to global overkill has been introduced before.

    Ok we have 17 pages of stuff and of those pages there is something that wasn't addressed. Power - The ability to cause damage to another. Speed - in pox terms - the ability to move and attack. All the talk about realigning abilities, revamping the Faction Bonus is fine and well but if we cant kill something what is the use? In order to get a runnable champ over 10 damage we need a crutch, surge x, in order to get 2 hits to an opposing champ it usually takes 3 turns to get in position and sit there and hope he doesn't get 1 rounded b4 he attacks.

    If there will be a change to the faction Bonus a +2 Damage and +1 speed across the board should be added.

    I have never seen these as FW's strong suits, except in the MTG pure black sense of great power at great cost e.g. Essence Devourer. Neither do I think these are necessary to have a functional or competitive faction. A great deal of the rhetoric in General and in general has been about rune strength, what's too powerful, what needs a buff, etc. Bringing this attitude to a set of faction changes, however, is more likely to result in pressure to produce runes that are more focused on being numerically competitive rather than thematically fun or of a unified design aesthetic.

    While I certainly understand your concern about FW being discussed in terms that sidestep the importance of competitiveness, I don't think that is what is happening here - or what should happen here. Rather, approaching changes with an eye to what makes a rune fun, unique, dynamic, or just damn cool at the forefront will be much better for the faction's health both in the near and long term than directing that focus heavily on the changes to a rune's power. A complete concept can be molded together into a competitive rune by fiddling with numbers, which is a natural part of the design process. But design is more easily and more often discarded than strength. Strength should be secondary.

    With our faction strength being secondary at this time we are behind the curve, lacking luster and being pounded into the ground by factions that have moved past the support phase and entered the power phase - when a 57 nora common, that can get to 18 damage & 12 speed when placed on the deck, can best ANY FW champ in a 1 to 1 display its time to rework some things in the Power category.

    I am not saying you are wrong in your thoughts but the thoughts of support, rune reveals and the possibility of out numbering your opponents 2 to 1 on the field is great BUT if you are not able to remove those champs from play that you outnumber what is the use?

    I think you may be overlooking the fact that not all factions are supposed to have the same strengths. FW are a bunch of lumbering corpses and skeletons, the fact that they are slow and weak fits them rather well. That said, i do find FW gets stomped when it comes to racing for fonts and control of the map and it does feel a bit unfair.
