To each their own but to say it's the wrong reasons is a little arrogant. If you don't like the competitive aspect of a game that's fine but don't like we are in the wrong for being competitive.

 

i do not remember a time rating meant something; by the time i started playing everyone was saying how lix3r and shazara and revenancer and all these people were the best alltime and none of the current gen could face them so obviously rank meant less then too


it seems like the value of rank has just steadily declined since the game was made, because i've only ever heard that it was better back then

 

That's how people think, doesn't mean it was true. There are less players now though but there are still really good players who play alot.

my point was merely that with the dwindling playerbase since then, it's hard to say if you're beasting or if you're just facing not as much skilled opponents

 

Saw mw24 get destroyed by a rare leaguer last night. Mw24 was raging in lobby.The opponent offered a rematch.
MW said his rank was too low therefore not worth the rematch #scared.

 

This is a fairly common occurrence on MW's part
