Who makes the in game character sprites?

They are pretty damn awesome and possibly my favorite part of the game, though i noticed there are certain stylistic differences which lead me to wonder if there was a few different people that made them.

I'd be really interested to know who made which ones, whoever makes all the guys with 'glowy' eyes like Garin and Bone Slave does some awesome work! Not to say the others aren't awesome too

look at the muscle shading and that sweet outside stroke which gives it definition. the details on the horns and snout, eyes. just great work.

 

I'm still partial to the classics....

 

Yeah some of them are really awesome, Rugolths Revenge is one of my favorites.

 

And my favorite from the ones I can recall:

And, of course:

 

One thing that always amazed me is the clearly distinct styles in some runes' sprites.

There are ones that looks like pixel art

But then others look like some 3D render

Which was the technical process to create the last one? I'm pretty damn curious.

 

Is there a site where you can look through the sprites?

 

Each card 'back' has the sprites on them now yes?

But if you want a quick glance at most of them without checking individually use the link in my signature.

 

I'm less curious who makes them as their color palette. At a certain point they might as well be shrunken images with sharper color lines rather than 'sprites' at least IMO.

Korona and Bok Guardian are two of my favorite in-game sprites since everybody seems to be posting theirs.

You know you can make any of them have 'glowy' eyes right, just take a high contrast color and use it for the eyes, those are usually just a single pixel that just happens to stand out from the rest. I.e if you want red eyes go with a full #FF0000 and put a dot for each of the eyes and then continue the rest of the sprite with much subtler blending.
