I would have kept 6 factions if you ask me, and have never released split runes or permited split decks. It makes it too damn hard to balance...
Agree, two protectorade factions should be removed. But fo real, what protectorade faction and what wrath faction could be dissolved and its runes splitted among the other three?
That's easy. SL <-> SP, UD <-> FW, KF <-> FS, ST alone. IS removed from the game. He isn't suggesting it for real, I suppose.
The swamp is near the forest, while the tundra not. ST could be paired with some FW units and some SP/IS big dudes., and IS with the humanoids of KF. A 4 factions Pox would be really neat in my opinion.
Ud and fw could be merged for sure demons and undead , it's the same thing in most other universes. St and ironfist could also be trolls, yetis, dwarves if that doesn't scream frozen mountains idk what does. Also sp and sl could be merged in my opinion flyings bats and dragons. Honestly the only factions I look at and go Bane Shift they are totally different is forglar and fw.
So, let's pretend everybody wants a new faction. If each faction is supposed to represent a location, what locations are there left to use? Space: "Heaven?" I mean, there's sheoul. The deepest parts of the sea (some FS runes would need to be split) I mean, there's not much to expand upon. I obviously don't know anything about pox's lore
Well a space race is interesting, or an air race, like Zeppelin creatures that never touch land and only dive to get resources, or a sky island..? Paralel Universe invasion or Plasma Creatures. borderline sci-fy
In the Poxnora Worldmap there are gigant creatures in the Sea, maybe a new faction could be called Aspects of Cataclysm and they represent all mass destruction nature forces and Godzilla like things, the soul of Cathulu which reminds everything on poxanthuru that they are mortals and fragile. Could play differently than the other factions (like 10 rune bgs, with Titan monsters and really strong spells/relic/equips). Deploying those badass "Boss" monsters from the "Wanted" Daylys.
Sheoul isn't like literal hell. Its just a place deep underground where horrible creatures tend to take residence. But Euan didn't go there when he died so yeah not real hell.
That sounds like worms. I imagined it wasn't actually "hell". "heaven" wouldn't need to be actually called heaven, either; it would be just a direct counter to Underdepths. I mean, we have demi-gods, where are the gods then?
or you could leave the factions alone and preserve unique aspects of the game instead of oversimplifying everything....
