Judging from that picture, looks like we should all be super stoked about FW getting a new skeleton sword dude. Looks like he could be a sweet commander as well from his position at the crest of that hill: maybe with warcry?

 

Spooked Skeleton confirmed the FW Midterm. (look to the left of the Grintmaw)

But wait a sec, if thats a Grintmaw (I though it could be a G'hern but it indeed looks alot more like a Grintmaw) then IS is getting two runes? Cuz the hottie is definely a barbarian. Grintmaw Spark and Barbarian Thot.

It's a Grintmaw Sealer.

 

They have to do the art pretty far in advance. Also, they might not end up using the Barbarian. The same artist did the Lonx Wanderer and the rest of the image from that hasn't been used yet (a large number of frozen or stone lonx - I wasn't quite sure.)

We know that the SL midterm is gonna be a draksar lady, as seen in the full art for mutated drake that shows up on loading screens. She'll probably be a mutation theme rune. That makes me think that this patch could include a rework of the mutation abilities to be more like mutated drake, and a rework of mutate to work with them somehow.

Maybe like
Mutate: target friendly champ gains 2 dam/2 def/1 spd, and if it has a mutation ability it gains all three abilities for 3 turns.

 

If i recall correclty something like your mutate idea is what will be implemented and the "charge mechanics" removed from them all. Processing collar would need a fix too if that happens

 

The midterms will be 8 different IS runes, 7 of which share a faction with the rest of the factions.
