I hope things go well for Brazil in running this thing. I'm watching the US women's basketball team in basically a glorified scrimmage against Senegal.
If this thread ends up being a "which female olympics category do you like the best *wink wink nudge nudge*" thread I'm not sure what I'll think of you people... XD
how dare you, we watch women's volleyball, football and hockey because they generally use way more tactics in their team play. also the skirts and shorts.
http://www.sportsmuntra.com/10-best-female-field-hockey-teams/ Netherlands \ Australia England Japan and then there's what looks like a group of prisoners from a labour camp in china. and this I think is a group of inmates from a US women's prison?
What no one's mentioned women's tennis or gymnastics??? Changing gender mentions here. I see Venezuela's basketball team is getting under the skin of the US team. A bit into the second quarter the US leads, but not by a huge margin (4 points). It would help if they quit turning the ball over so much. Well maybe they can get their bad game out of the way.
Can you imagine averaging faster than 5 1/2 minute miles for 26 of them? That's what the women were doing this morning in the marathon.
I don't think Phelps has the endurance for the 10 km open water. but it is nice to have both the mens and womens gold in those categories go to people from my country. personally I have not been above sea level for months so I guess it makes sense. And hey we might not get as many medals as all you U-statesians but per capita we are in the top 20... http://www.medalspercapita.com/#medals-per-capita:2016 looking at belgium at 31, russia at 39 and US at 41 Git on our level son.
same website got you covered: http://www.medalspercapita.com/#medals-by-gdp:2016 medals weighted as such: gold = 4, silver = 2, bronze = 1
