turkey is much more advanced and capable but its not like america aproached the vietnam or iraq wars like they were fighting an advanced or capable enemy. They were just more or less side projects not real wars. The united states only put a limited amount of resources into those wars.

there wont be a war, it wouldnt be beneficial to either country. It is extremely difficult for a developed country to actually go to war against another in 2015 because our economies are all linked. Part of the reason our economies are so connected is to prevent wars between our countries. also I dont think people really understand what a war between countries like turkey and russia would actually mean, people just think stuff is a movie. There will most likely be negative consequences for turkey as a result of their actions and possibly for nato as well but actual warefare no. At the most there may be economic warfare, russia already has imposed sanctions against turkey, not sure how long this will last though.
