Uhm ok, after i read 5 pages (i guess the other are like them) i can share to you mine experience in the best english i can @Covah I'm a 20 years old guy, i'm italian so my reality it's a bit different then yours. But i was just like you few years ago: I would like to joined the army for nearly the same reason, apart from the military trend However, i'm in the army now? Sure not. I repeat that i know our reality may be diffent, but for what i see with my own eyes and what i heard, i could tell you to not join the army/navy. Why? Because it's full of people who just like command you and don't care to you safety or your goodness. Buecause you go to fight for what? This is an important question, do you realy belive in the war your country are fighting? I hounted some military circles because i'm my judo's gym i have some ex military and every one of them say to me the same thing: "Don't go, it's a waste of time and resources. It's not worth the effort". Of course i was stupid and didn't listen to them and send the request of join and did the test of admission. When my judo master, a second father for me, heard that he said "Luca, we need to talk". He too was an ex-military, a judo champion, lived for a long time in 'murrica, in sud 'murrica and other thing that doesn't matter, like maybe the other before. However he explain me in a way i cannot even try to translate because i don't know how, why it would be a mistake. This post may be useless for you, bacuse i don't give you a reason to not join a completely different army from mine (or at least someone can say it) but from what i heard and see, every armys are the same, so don't join them.
