   Even though you cannot cliff a champ if there is a height difference the champ will still lose ap if knocked towards the cliff.

   Can confirm. Just saw a Grintmaw Gravitone hit a Firk Paraform while it was standing on square 20,7 and it took 5 damage and lost all AP.
   
   It was on Elemental Plateau
