I'll do you all a favor and whenever I win the lottery, I'll donate about... 50 mil to Poxnora. I think that should be fundamental for jump starts.
So only fps games have good graphics? Anyway, today a lot of projects are crowdfunded and a strategy tcg is something worth of funding.
TCG is a bit of a joke, the only 'trading' that occurs on pox is 1 for 1 exos/legs on expansion releases or sharks bleeding the average player dry for stuff that's not in poxbox, otherwise people just use poxbox.
Since current pox problems with graphics/ui/etc are such minor in comparsion to business model one, the campaign is very unlikely to attract any new people, and funding from current playerbase won't be nearly enough to cover the task.
meh. just rewrite the current engine if you want something like this. Dont call it pox 2. Keep the current runes. Graphics are fine as well. Just the engine could be faster and more efficient.
The business model + rune balance could be adressed in the game remake. I think everyone should have access to all runes and there should be cosmetic changes wich would be collectible.
Yeah... about the current client. Its single threaded(which sounds weird in 2015) and uses 1.3Gb of memory to do nothing...
nyn, maybe you could pay DOG while they make something like what you want. and while you're at it, maybe you could help them as well.
Well, I'm a software developer but I'm specialized in travel applications. I believe such idea have a huge market potential from all the guys who play DnD miniatures, 40k... I dont know a better company to do that.
What I said is that Pox is a great idea. I used to play miniature games and pox take me back to those years. The miniature games comunity would support such idea, or so I believe. But a game MUST be beautiful, its part of the experience.
miniatures are ugly as hell xD, the game must be playable, if they could get a better engine somehow everything would have a bright future. (btw i play a miniatures game)
No, like dota and its cosmetics modifications on heroes. PS: btw I dont really care for cosmetic changes but buy then on dota2 just to support the game. My nephew is crazy on those things though.
Little late to the conversation, but this has been mentioned in the past. I would certainly assist funding this project but I think one thing Pox2 would need to be successful would be multi-platform. Apple, droid, tablets, etc. I think that would be a must.
