I might have missed any previous statements or posts as I haven't played since well 5-6 expansions ago when SOE was popping them out what felt like monthly. I am interested to be linked to a previous post or hear about Deserts Owl's -Ideas and Future for Pox Nora -Previous knowledge of Pox Nora
Well, most of them have a good knowledge of PoxNora, since a few of them have been on the development team dating quite a bit back. In terms of the future… there have been threads posted here and here
Gedden and co may have been the original developers, but the game has changed a lot since then, I think people are being unrealistic if they think that there won't be a rocky adjustment period.
There's always an adjustment period when a project comes under new leadership and each phase went down their path for an extended period of time. To "fix" all of the "problems" ideally a successor, a Pox 2.0 would probably need to be created. As is, for me personally, I look forward to the changes in the Training Grounds as well as interest to the vision of the direction that the designers are looking towards.
I'm sure there will definitely be an adjustment period as they reshape the game to be how they want it to be. I'm looking forward to the 1st big update as I'm curious if they're tweaking tons of runes or game play or leaving things mostly alone and just making light adjustments. I'm also really looking forward to the free bgs and seeing the revised f2p aspect.
I wasn't meaning to doom-say at all, I think it's a great thing to have happened to pox. But I think the players have to be understanding about what the devs are facing -- they aren't going to be able to revolutionise pox's dated architecture and bring it into a golden age of mass appeal. A more realistic hope is that, after a couple of dodgy expansions, the player base becomes stable and profitable and that we can go on playing the game we love for at least a few more years. And then pox 2!
