Fikule I need me some PIE!

So, he is currently 73 nora with Hunter: Righteous (unless you want to upgrade Hunter: Ironfist of course) and Melee Specialist 1.

He now has Block 1 and no Riposte.

Can someone highlight his purpose? I mean, I admit he was pretty shoebox before, but he currently looks even more boxed right now.

Although admittedly Hunter: Righteous could also almost exclusively just be Hunter: Ironfist I guess, so you could lose 3 nora cost there.

at that cost and w/o Riposte probly wont get much time off the bench

I just found out the Soul Siren lost that AP/Damage boost from her attack so with only 5 ap relocate foe isn't worth it as well as Crypt Guardian lost immune sonic and relic guardian - that was one of my favorite combos - throw in Banshee w/ Fascinate and hidden DMZ - good times

I always saw fallen hero as a hero hunter. He was a stock melee champion that could push back a big hero drop for the most part unless it was something like Serkan. I personally dislike the way his hunter upgrades line up. Abilities like the hunters specialize units in a bad way. You have to make their base stats crappy to compensate for the potential OP boost they will receive. In my eyes this makes them far to niche. Good for three types of unit, but crappy for the rest. Good for one type of unit but awful against the rest etc. At least Ally: Faction is always useful. The hunter problem makes it so you have to make 2 different upgrade path fallen heroes and only play one the entire game because the other one isn't worth the nora.

His problem has more to do with the disconnect that has never been taken care of between undead and humans in FW however. For the most part they have never played nice with each other and therefore both limit their options and potential. It makes sense lore wise as undead sole purpose has been to eradicate the living. Anyone who made it out of the undead uprising of Serkan is either a pissed off wizard, someone who turned to the dark arts to control undead like the witches or a hardened badass of the wastes like the fallen hero.

Theoretically fallen hero has potential to become a very potent unit as well as all other humans due to mechanics like foul rite, the varied damage types humans possess, and the good balance of melee and range. What they lack is support and a way to either play nice with the undead that makes up most of the FW faction or find a way to make the undead serve them. Humans haven't been built up enough to do either.

I would to see him back into the mold of a situational hero hunter who can also by set up to become a stock melee champ. Say hero:hunter / skirmisher for one upgrade set up and Counter Attack: Melee / melee specialist on the other. One path lets you make a cheap specialized unit for countering heroes that our overwhelming your other stock units another is a good stock melee.

They made all humans, barbs in IS, why not make all humans witches in FW. Give ink blight back shroud, for free too, then fallen hero is looking okay in tandem with ink blight.

Fallen hero seems in line with the postrevamp baseline for his cost providing you are fielding against something his hunter can proc off. Hunter righteous is a bit situational but at least its generic against all teams (largely), so he kind of fits into the stock beater role and at least seems reasonable competitive with other things in it's price range. Its biggest problem,as exiled tyrant recognised, is lack of synergy with other undead but at least he has immunity disease. So maybe he has a place in something like a zombie bg as a independant early game medium-costed rover and vanguard who can grab fonts and solo reasonably well before all the lumberig champs catch up (as its alternatives are Abominations; more expensive and less defensive or maybe wandering zombie; slower and slightly frailer in its first form against non-phys and possibly still uncontrollable in its second [not sure if they changed that]) either that it might have a decent cheap slot to bulk out and frontline coven bgs as the witches tend to be ranged and slightly frailer or something.
