@Jimmie1982 What you are suggesting sounds like how NHS dentists are run in the UK, they are privately owned but the prices of procedures are set by the government, so cost the same wherever you go. If you are on some kind of benefit (unemployed, disabled, under 18 etc) then the government will pay for you. There is also the option to go to a non-NHS dentist where you'll pay more but get less waiting time/maybe better service. All in all, it seems to work pretty well. You still have to pay, but i know I won't be overcharged, and I don't usually have to wait till long and those who can't pay shouldn't have to. Dentists can also charge what they want for non-essential (aesthetic) procedures.

They have watched a lot of Colbert Report and The Daily Show, so they know all about MuriKa. They realize that most Repub politicians are baddies, but they both think Dem politicians are fighting for humanity and progress and winsauce. I think they will eventually see the bigger picture, but it's gonna take some time. Patience.
